HIGHLIGHTS
NEW ERA
Demna Gvasalia, the visionary behind Balenciaga’s bold reinvention, has been named the new Artistic Director of Gucci.
His appointment follows a challenging period for the house, marked by a 23% decline in revenue in 2024 under Sabato De Sarno’s tenure.
DEPARTURE
After nearly three extraordinary decades at the helm, Donatella Versace will step down as Creative Director of the iconic fashion house. She will be succeeded by Dario Vitale, a seasoned designer and former Design Director at Miu Miu. While transitioning from her creative role, Donatella will remain deeply connected to Versace as a brand ambassador, continuing to represent its legacy in a new capacity.
NOMINATION
Frédéric Arnault has been appointed CEO of Loro Piana, effective June 10, 2025, following a transition period with current CEO Damien Bertrand.
This move is part of a broader leadership reshuffle at LVMH: Damien Bertrand will take on the role of Deputy CEO at Louis Vuitton, while Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou will step into the same position at Christian Dior Couture.
LEGAL
Louis Vuitton has won its legal battle against Van Cleef & Arpels, as France’s Court of Cassation upheld a ruling rejecting Richemont’s claim of parasitic competition. The court confirmed that LV’s Color Blossom collection (2015) does not infringe on Van Cleef & Arpels’s Alhambra range, securing LV’s right to use its clover motif in jewelry.
Lamborghini teams up with British nursery brand Silver Cross to launch the Reef AL Arancio, a limited-edition "super stroller." With only 500 units worldwide, it comes with a price tag of $5,165 USD.
